Whats the difference between a standard and a sport bike?
I’m looking into my first bike. I found a Suzuki sv650 that is listed as a standard bike, but it looks to me like a sport bike. How do I tell the difference between the two? Also what would be a good “starter” bike. Please list some models that I can research. I’m planning to buy a bike either at the end of this summer or the first part of next season. Thanks for you help.
Standard bikes have a more up right seating position and minimal plastics for areo-dynamics.

Sportbikes are are just the opposite – plastic fairings for areo-dynamics and a more aggressive seating position.
The SV650 would be a naked sportbike because the race plastics are missing.
